Two men killed in Wednesday rollover near Edgemont

Two men died Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle crash three miles south of Edgemont.

The names of the persons involved have not been released pending notification of family.
The South Dakota Highway patrol reports the driver and passenger in a pickup were southbound on SD Highway 471 when the vehicle ran off the road, veered back into the southbound lane, over-corrected and went off the roadway again. This time, it went down an embankment and rolled several times.

The occupants were not wearing seatbelts and were thrown from the pickup. Both sustained fatal injuries.
